Alexey Kozhemyakov — Visiting Professor, Ph.D., Dr.of Sc.(Law)

Graduated in 1971 from Moscow Institute (University) of International Relations (MGIMO), LL.M Diploma in International Law. Post-graduate studies in the same University, PhD Diploma in Law in 1977, Diploma of Dr.of Sc. (Law) in 1990. In 1992 Professor of the Chair of Political Science in MGIMO.

Since 1977 Deputy Director of Centre for International Studies in MGIMO, from 1985 in Russian diplomatic service (Diplomatic rank of Counsellor), Counsellor in the Administration of the President of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev until December 1991.
From 1992 in International Organisations: Special Advisor to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, from 1997 Head of Department in the Secretariat of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg (retired in April 2014).
At present Independent analyst in international affairs, Visiting Professor in MGIMO.

Author of some 70 books and articles on legal and political aspects of world politics.
