New Acting Dean

We would like to welcome our new Acting Dean of the School of Government and International Affairs — Associate Professor at MGIMO’s Department of Diplomacy Alexander Bobrov.

Dr. Bobrov is a foreign policy expert specializing in the Russian foreign policy and diplomacy. Since 2021, he has been the Vice-Chairman of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

In 2020 Dr. Bobrov was elected as the permanent member of the MGIMO Academic Council. Earlier that year, he had received his PhD degree in history from MGIMO University. In 2021, Alexander Bobrov published a book (in Russian) «The Grand Strategy of Russia» that has been a non-fiction bestseller for several years in a row.

Dr. Bobrov is also a commentator on international affairs for leading Russian and international media outlets.
