SGIA at World Youth Festival 2024

SGIA at World Youth Festival 2024

The World Youth Festival 2024 takes place on the Russian federal territory of Sirius from 2 to 7 March. The MGIMO School of Government and International Affairs (SGIA) was one of the most numerous in terms of the number of students participating in the festival among other academic units of MGIMO as the most multinational faculty.

The most active and talented BA and MA students of SGIA from Russia and 15 countries of the world became participants of the Festival. More than 20 students of the Faculty were able to pass the most difficult stages of selection and join the World Youth Festival team as organisers and volunteers, representatives of numerous foreign delegations and the MGIMO team.

SGIA specialists proved to be equally active.

Acting Dean of SGIA Alexander K. Bobrov, Professor and Academic Director of the Master’s programme Olga V. Lebedeva and Deputy Dean of SGIA.

Vasily E. Taran took part in the VII Global Forum of Young Diplomats held on the margins of the WYF 2024. On 3 March, Alexander K. Bobrov became one of the participants of the panel discussion «Success factors of integration associations of the new time on the example of EAEU and CIS», as well as the moderator of the working session «Legacy of the Russia-Africa Summit: new perspectives for the continent’s development». On 5 and 6 March, the Faculty is scheduled to hold events at the WYF 2024 within the framework of the open cycle of the MGIMO SGIA «Diplympics» — immersive games aimed at revealing diplomatic skills of the festival participants. We kindly invite all festival participants to join in these events!
